The range of products to be packed is very vast: plastic bottles, cans, glass bottles, canisters, pots and pouches. But there is one thing that all these products have in common: they have to be loaded into cases or trays – quickly, gently and without any failures or major changeover times. Thus the gripper is always the decisive interface between the product and the machine. ETT offer proven standard solutions for many different industries.

Example 1: Packing salad pots
Display trays for food retailing have to meet a vast range of requirements:
they should ensure safe transport while being promotionally effective
and an ease to handle by the supermarket staff to facilitate shelf filling.
Manufacturers of end-of-line packaging equipment are required to provide solutions for loading large amounts of products into trays in a reliable, clean and – above all – quick manner. A good instance for ETT’s approach to this problem is their packing system for pots of gourmet salad
which includes standard machine parts such as
- tray erector
- packer with individual gripping technology
- lane divider for accumulating products.

Example 2: Automated high-speed packing
The main benefit of ETT’s standard systems is their capability to load many different types of products such as bottles, pots or cans into cases or trays according to the most commonly used packing
pattern such as 2 x 2 to 6 x 4. ETT’s standard modules such as the case erector,
packer and case closer ensure continuous processes with short changeover times.
Example 3: Grouping trigger bottles
Plastic trigger bottles are very handy which is why they are used in many different sectors, e. g. in laboratories and different industries as well as in private households or cleaning companies. These special spray bottles are typically very narrow with rather wide trigger heads, thus posing a major challenge as far as end-of-line packaging is concerned.
Again, ETT’s solution to this problem proved to be very flexible: the bottles are grouped before being picked up by a gripper head module and loaded into the tray in a singlefacing packing pattern. Designed for processing up to 250 trigger bottles per minute this system has been
supplied to many customers throughout Europe.
Conclusion
ETT offer fully-automatic standard systems for customers in diverse industries such as
- food
- household chemicals
- cosmetics
- pharmaceuticals
- beverages
- pet food
- plant protecting agents
