Combined system for packing and palletising canisters
Reliable packaging of heavy canisters
Thanks to the convincing technology the order for 7 systems has been placed.
Large containers are often hard to handle, more so when they are oddly shaped. For an international producer of chemicals headquartered in Germany ETT built a system for loading heavy canisters containing pesticides into cases and then to the final palletising stage. This packing machine will be supplied to sites in the US and Brazil.
Due to their weights and hazardous contents these filled canisters present a special challenge for the gripping equipment. For this reason ETT used a gripper that grasps the canisters both by the lids and handles to ensure that the containers are loaded into the cases in a safe and troublefree manner. Once the cases have been loaded they will be sealed with self-adhesive tape and conveyed to the palletising unit.
Trouble-free palletisation
The heavy weight of these products had a major influence on the special design of this part of the system as well: ETT used a so-called fork gripper that positions its fork underneath two cases, clamps the cases and lifts them up. In this manner the cases can be stacked onto pallets reliably and without difficulty. The system is designed for a wide variety of products, from a 1 LTR bottle to a 12 LTR canister.
