| The entire line consists of four systems, three of which were designed and supplied by ETT (depalletisation, end-of-line packaging and palletisation). |
A very special solution was required by a major international producer of bodycare products. ETT designed, planned and successfully implemented the entire concept for this large-scale investment project including depalletisation, filling, packing and palletisation while keeping a tight schedule.
Step 1: Depalletisation
Still unfilled the flexible plastic bottles are supplied in stacked Styrofoam trays. A universal gripper picks up these empty bottles from the trays, loads them in two precisely aligned rows into plastic carriers
and stacks the empty Styrofoam trays back onto the pallet.
Step 2: Filling
In the next step the module bottles are
conveyed in carriers to a linear filling system which was implementes
by a German partner company of ETT. This system fills the bottles and
applies the special valve caps.

Step 3: Packing
During their transport to ETT’s packing module the bottles are collated into two rows while the case erector forms the appropriate cases. In the next step the row gripper head loads the bottles into the cases, three cases per cycle. The special feature of this system is the rotating gripper head for aligning the bottles according to their labels (which must always face outwards). In the final step the cases are sealed with selfadhesive tape.
Step 4: Palletisation
A conveyor transports the sealed cases to the palletising module which stacks them onto pallets by means of a clamping gripper head.

Conclusion
This complex system fully complies with all customer requirements. With their turnkey system ETT mastered the challenge set by the product, i. e. to guide flexible moulded bottles both in empty and filled condition safely through each station of the system. Innovative grippers grasp the special caps of the bottles securely and load them into cases with their labels precisely aligned. External equipment (such as the filling system in this instance) can also be integrated without difficulty.
Your benefits:
- capability of handling a vast range of products
- complete turnkey project management
- product-specific adaptation
- high-speed and optimal performance
