ETT’s packaging system for a German chemical company ensures safe and flexible packaging.

The integrated gripper picks up various types of containers safely.

Chemical products can be extremely aggressive and that is why they have to be packed and transported with great care. ETT implemented a special system to ensure that they arrive safely at their destination. The main benefit of this system is its capability of handling a vast range of different containers for
chemical products.

This compact machine combines several steps: While the collating unit arranges the containers and bottles to be packed in several rows the machine forms the appropriate cases. A double row gripper head designed to grasp the canisters by the caps and handles picks up four canisters at a time and loads them into the case. Th e key part of this system is an electromechanical rotating module that allows a flexible insertion of the bundles into the package for diff erent packing schemes. In the fi nal step the loaded case is closed and sealed.
