High case and product speeds

ETT-system modules: A packer with a lane divider and a case sealer.

ETT’s system achieves a remarkable speed: up to 300 molded plastic bottles per minute can be handled, even though these goods are highly sensitive, soft containers of fabric conditioner.

The centre piece of this system is an integrated lane divider with a channel grouping unit.
The products arriving one after the other with the short sides first are transferred from the customer’s conveyor equipment to the system’s product conveyor and are transported to the lane divider. In the next step the lane divider positions the products in front of the channels. Now the bottles are indexed into the channels where grippers pick them up.

Highspeed

Depending on the speed requirements, sizes and shapes of products there are more channels than gripper head rows. During each gripping cycle these spare channels are filled with new products for the next cycle. For lower speed requirements one spare channel will be suffi cient. For higher speed requirements as in this instance twice as many channels might be required. With this constellation special design up to 50 divider arm cycles (rows) per minute can be achieved. With a 6 x4 gripper head this would equal over 300 bottles per minute.
